The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Applications Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test software applications for manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize production downtime.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Implement and support software solutions for automation, data acquisition, and process control.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on application functionality and operation.
- Optimize application performance and scalability to meet evolving manufacturing needs.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions to customers.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical information.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data analysis or automation.
