Position SummaryThe Technology Architect (TA) holds primary responsibility andaccountability for technology planning and architecture within aspecific technology domain. This role works in partnership withstakeholders such as business architects, solutions architects, othertechnology architects and associated operations and functional areas toestablish strategic direction and relevant reference architectures,technology standards and design patterns. Acts as a thought leader andinformation source for their designated domain. The domains of Business,Information, Applications and Technology are all considered by thetechnology architect; with an emphasis on technology. Overall riskmitigation and total cost of ownership are managed from an enterprisestandpoint. Sub-domain and platform TA's are under the overall guidanceof the Enterprise TA's and all architects participate in the overall ITArchitecture Practice regardless of their location in the ITorganization.
