IT Support Specialist (Contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide temporary support for IT operations. In this role, you will assist employees with technical issues, maintain hardware and software systems, and help ensure a reliable and secure technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace.
This is a 12+ week contract position providing interim support and requires onsite attendance five days per week in Bloomington, MN. This position will pay between $28-34/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist with the maintenance of Windows servers, workstations, and user accounts.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks.
- Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, software, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and network performance issues.
- Document IT procedures and maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar role, including internships.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications is preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience supporting users of design applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
