Description:
Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Valley City, ND 58072

Contract: 1+ years

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable IT Support / Operations Technician to support standardized IT and operational processes in a stable environment. This role involves executing routine tasks, maintaining records, supporting end users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through adherence to established procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and monitor standard IT processes and operational tasks such as imaging computers, replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated equipment, and resolving ServiceNow tickets.

Follow knowledge base (KB) articles and documented procedures to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Maintain and update records in systems such as Asset Center, including tracking IT assets and inventory.

Create, maintain, and manage basic documentation such as contact lists, process logs, incident reports, and inventory/service records.

Handle incoming requests and communications effectively via email, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Support facilities and administrative requests, including shipment coordination, inventory updates, and service tracking.

Identify process or operational issues and resolve them using pre-defined procedures; escalate issues outside scope when necessary.

Manage equipment and supplies, including ordering, inventory monitoring, and scheduling routine maintenance.

Interact with vendors and suppliers to support operational needs.

Apply basic technical knowledge to troubleshoot hardware/software issues, including printer maintenance and end-user support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Basic understanding of computer systems, networking concepts, and IT operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet/intranet applications.

Knowledge of computer security principles and policies.

Strong communication skills, both written (email) and verbal.

Ability to follow standard processes and documentation with attention to detail.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ year of IT support or technical operations experience (entry-level candidates and entry level candidates will also be considered).

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and asset management tools is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology or related field, OR equivalent hands-on experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
