Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer to support enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and managing scalable Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and DevOps best practices. You will build secure, highly available cloud environments, automate infrastructure deployments through CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to establish cloud standards across the organization.

This position is ideal for engineers with strong Google Cloud Platform expertise, Infrastructure as Code experience, and a passion for automation and cloud innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop and support automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Configure and manage VPCs, Shared VPCs, Compute Engine, Storage, IAM, Load Balancers, and networking services.
• Implement secure cloud architectures in partnership with Security and Infrastructure teams.
• Manage IAM policies, organizations, service accounts, and access controls.
• Design monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production environments.
• Create and maintain cloud standards, governance policies, and operational documentation.
• Evaluate new Google Cloud Platform services and recommend platform improvements.
• Provide Tier-2 operational support and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and application hosting issues.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure.
• 5+ years of Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Compute Engine
• VPC & Shared VPC
• Cloud Storage
• IAM
• Networking
• Security
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery
• Experience with enterprise cloud migrations and large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML.
• Experience supporting both Windows and Linux cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and automation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Certification.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience working in DevOps and Agile environments.
• Knowledge of containers and cloud-native technologies is a plus.
