Description We're seeking a skilled
Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance a growing technology environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on system ownership, solving complex technical issues, and ensuring high availability across critical business systems.
Responsibilities- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows servers, virtual environments, and enterprise applications.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user provisioning, and identity/security controls.
- Oversee system performance, patching, updates, and routine maintenance to ensure uptime and stability.
- Support Office 365 / Microsoft 365 applications, email management, and license administration.
- Perform network administration tasks, including switches, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and routing basics (in partnership with network resources, if applicable).
- Troubleshoot system, application, and hardware issues; escalate to vendors as needed.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and restoration capability.
- Monitor security alerts, enforce best practices, and support initiatives around vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical standards.
- Provide Tier II/III support to end users and internal teams.
- Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, expansions, and new technology implementations.
Requirements Qualifications- 3-5+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure role.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and M365/Exchange Online.
- Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficiency with backup systems, monitoring tools, and patch management solutions.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection tools, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills- PowerShell scripting or automation experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments (not required).
- Exposure to ERP systems or specialized production systems.
- Experience with ITIL practices.
