- The Small Business Data Environment team supports the full data ecosystem for U.S. Small Business, including regulatory reporting, AML/compliance, community investments, fair lending, and other enterprise data products.
- This is a very large-scale data warehouse (30-50+ TB) with one Charlotte-based team and two India-based development teams.
- We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL and Python expertise to build, optimize, and support high-volume data processes, ETL pipelines, automation, and regulatory data operations across a Unix-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and database structures.
- Build and enhance Python-based data processing components for fast and scalable data workflows.
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines and support the migration from custom tools to Spark-based ETL solutions (SparkFlow).
- Build and maintain Autosys job schedules for all automated workloads.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with teams in the U.S. and India.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps deployment processes.
- Perform performance tuning for high-volume Oracle SQL workloads.
- Create and maintain Unix shell scripts used across data warehouse and ETL operations.
- Support regulatory and compliance reporting use cases with high accuracy and data quality.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Python - 5+ years developing scripts, modules, and data processing logic
- Oracle / SQL - enterprise-level development & performance tuning
- PL/SQL - deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming
- Apache Spark - hands-on experience; SparkFlow experience is a strong plus
- Autosys Scheduler - 3-5 years job automation in enterprise environments
- Unix Shell Scripting - strong working knowledge
- ETL Development - building and supporting enterprise ETL pipelines
- DevOps / CI-CD - experience with automated build and deployment pipelines
- Agile Delivery - experience working in SCRUM or Agile delivery environments
Preferred Background:- Large enterprise or financial services organizations
- Experience with very large-scale data environments (30-50+ TB)
- Exposure to AML, regulatory reporting, fair lending, or community investment data
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and AI-driven dashboarding tools
Not a Fit:- SQL Server-only developers
- Candidates without strong Oracle PL/SQL expertise
- Developers with only small-company or low-volume data experience
