Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware issues.
- Document, track, and monitor IT issues to ensure timely resolution and escalate complex problems to appropriate IT personnel.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, and manufacturing-specific equipment on the production floor.
- Assist with the maintenance and support of network infrastructure and connectivity within the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime on production lines.
- Train manufacturing staff on basic IT procedures and the use of new software or hardware.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, barcode scanners) and software issues (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, manufacturing-specific applications).
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and active directory for user management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective user support and problem resolution.
