Senior Data Engineer
(Contract, W2 Only)
Location: Twin Cities or Madison WI (local candidates
only - no relocation)
Must be willing to work on-site 2 days per week at Minnesota
office (Minnetonka MN) or Wisconsin Office (Madison WI)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 only) with CTH option
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis
(U.S. Citizen, , or EAD). No sponsorship now or in the future.

Role Overview
This is a Senior-level, hands-on
data engineering role focused on building and operating production data
pipelines. You will write Python and SQL daily, own pipelines end-to-end,
and operate as a strong individual contributor.
This role IS NOT people management, delivery management, or high-level
architecture - we're looking for someone who enjoys building systems and
solving problems at the keyboard.

Required Qualifications (Must
Haves)

• Senior-level experience writing Python and SQL in production environments
• Proven experience building and owning data pipelines end-to-end
• Hands-on experience working in Git-based workflows with CI/CD and code reviews
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar distributed data processing frameworks
• Comfortable working independently and making sound technical tradeoffs

What You'll Do

• Design, build, deploy, and support production-grade data pipelines
• Write and maintain high-quality Python and SQL code
• Own pipelines end-to-end, including monitoring and troubleshooting
• Work in Git-based, PR-driven development workflows (CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing)
• Collaborate with other engineers while operating independently day-to-day
• Make pragmatic technical decisions with minimal oversight

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
