Summary

The Kinetic ERP Senior Functional Consultant – Migration plays a critical role in delivering successful cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud ERP migrations. This role is responsible for leading functional discovery, fit-gap analysis, configuration, validation, and business process alignment during Kinetic migration programs delivered through a Migration Factory or wave-based model.

The consultant acts as the functional bridge between customer business users, technical teams, and migration factory delivery, ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and adoption of  Kinetic best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Discovery & Fit-Gap

  • Lead functional discovery workshops for Kinetic migrations across key modules.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis between legacy ERP processes and Kinetic standard functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce customizations and adopt standard Kinetic capabilities.
  • Document functional requirements, gaps, and migration assumptions.

Kinetic Configuration & Validation

  • Configure Kinetic modules to support migrated business processes.
  • Validate functional setups for cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud scenarios.
  • Support company setup, BAQs, BPMs (functional aspects), dashboards, and security roles.
  • Ensure configurations align with factory standards and reusable patterns.

Migration Support (Functional)

  • Provide functional leadership for:
    • Data migration validation (master, transactional, historical data)
    • Mapping legacy data to Kinetic structures
    • Reconciliation and functional sign-off

Business Process & Change Enablement

  • Align  Kinetic functionality with customer business processes.
  • Advise customers on process optimization using Kinetic features.
  • Support change management by enabling business users during UAT and go-live.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for assigned customers or waves.
  • Collaborate with technical consultants, data migration teams, and factory managers.

Key Modules (Experience in multiple required)

  • Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management)
  • Manufacturing (Job Management, BOM, Scheduling, MRP)
  • Supply Chain (Procurement, Inventory, Planning)
  • Order Management & CRM
  • Quality, Advanced MES, or Projects (good to have)

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 8–12 years of ERP functional consulting experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kinetic ERP implementations or migrations.
  • Proven experience supporting cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud ERP migrations.

Functional & Technical Knowledge

  • Deep functional knowledge of Kinetic modules and end-to-end business flows.
  • Strong understanding of Kinetic data structures and dependencies.

Delivery & Consulting Skills

  • Strong documentation skills (FRDs, fit-gap, validation reports).
  • Experience supporting UAT, cutover, and go-live activities.
  • Ability to work with standardized templates and factory processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Kinetic Functional Certification
  • Manufacturing / Finance domain certifications
  • ITIL or Agile certifications (nice to have)
