This role requires strong operational discipline, familiarity with compliance-driven environments, and a demonstrated ability to identify and automate manual workflows.

The ideal candidate has supported large enterprise systems, worked with relational databases, and is comfortable operating within strict audit, regulatory, and documentation controls.

  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit-ready artifacts to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory, audit, and compliance teams on remediation and compliance-driven efforts.
Engineering & Automation
  • Identify manual or repetitive processes and design automation solutions-prioritizing PowerShell scripting.
  • Partner with engineering teams to transition manual workflows to automated or self-service options.
  • Support ongoing modernization and cloud migration initiatives aligned with SRE best practices.
Technical Areas of Ownership

Reliability & Automation
  • Experience applying SRE concepts and operational automation standards.
  • Strong experience building automation using PowerShell.

Applications & Middleware
  • Working knowledge of Java-based applications and application server fundamentals (e.g., Tomcat).

Databases & Data Management
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with database operations supporting decentralized administration.
  • Experience with database change management tools such as Liquibase (preferred).

Compliance & Archiving (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with archiving, compliance, or eDiscovery platforms.
  • Comfort working in regulated environments with strict operational controls.

ITSM & Reporting
  • Experience using ServiceNow for incident, change, and workflow management.
  • Power BI experience for operational or compliance reporting (preferred).
Environment & Expectations
  • Fast-paced, production-focused environment supporting enterprise-scale systems.
  • Operates under strict compliance and regulatory oversight.
  • Requires participation in on-call rotation, including some non-traditional hours.
  • Skill set expected to evolve as the platform moves toward cloud-based architectures.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience (or equivalent: consulting, military, training, or education).
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise production systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, compliance, and business partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background supporting archiving, compliance, or regulated communications systems.
  • Experience participating in cloud migration, modernization, or SRE transformation initiatives.
  • Experience automating operations or contributing to engineering-driven operational improvements.
