Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves designing and developing complex server-side components within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in front office derivatives risk systems and will work in a fast-paced environment, liaising with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements. This position requires 3 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop complex server-side components
- Work within markets in front office derivatives risk systems or pretrade/origination or post trade management systems
- Liaise with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements
- Prioritize and work on issues independently
- Articulate problems and solutions clearly and concisely
Requirements: - 5+ years of strong Python development experience (optional Java)
- Experience working in Financial Services
- Computer science or equivalent degree
- Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices and associated tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Desired skills: - Knowledge of Quartz technology stack
- Pricing and Risk knowledge - structure and pricing of derivative products
- Derivatives Risk domain knowledge (Greeks and Scenarios)
- Equity Derivatives product knowledge (Futures, Options, Convertibles)
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26
