PC Technician

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented PC Technician to assist with a major office relocation project in Des Moines, Iowa. This Contract position involves setting up IT workstations and displays, as well as handling specialized tasks related to TVs and projectors. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a basic understanding of hardware and installation processes.

Responsibilities:
Disassemble IT workstations and prepare them for transportation.
Load and transport equipment from the current office to the new location.
Deliver and organize boxes and equipment to assigned workstations on designated floors.
Reinstall and reconnect IT hardware, including docking stations and network cables, at new workstations.
Conduct follow-up visits to ensure all setups are completed as needed.
Assist with removing, relocating, and reinstalling TVs and projectors, including mounting and dismounting displays.
Use provided tools to complete installation tasks efficiently and accurately.
Follow guidance and training provided at the start of each day to ensure tasks are performed correctly.

Requirements

Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripheral setup.
Familiarity with cable installation and workstation assembly.
Ability to handle and transport IT equipment safely and efficiently.
Experience with TV and projector installation is a strong advantage.
Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate delivery and setup of equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly to new tasks.
Physical capability to lift and move equipment during the relocation process.
