AWS Solutions Architect - Terraform/Migration

The Job: Client is looking for an experienced AWS Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in cloud migration, Terraform-based IaC, and enterprise-scale cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will design end-to-end cloud solutions, lead migration programs, modernize workloads, and ensure secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud deployments.

Responsibilities, Skills, and Experience:

• Lead end-to-end migration initiatives including rehost (lift & shift), replatform, and refactor strategies.
• Hands-on experience with migration tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and AWS Snowball/DataSync.
• Perform migration wave planning, cutover, testing, and post-migration validation.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform: Develop and maintain Terraform modules, reusable templates, and version-controlled infrastructure.
• Automate provisioning of AWS services such as VPC, EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
• Implement Terraform best practices, state management, workspaces, and CI/CD integration.
• Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions on AWS.
• Design end-to-end architectures for applications, databases, and infrastructure migration.
• Develop high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) for cloud workloads.
• Evaluate existing on-premises environments and provide cloud suitability assessments.

Certification / Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (preferred)
• AWS SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer Certification
• HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate
• ITIL Foundation (good to have)
