LOCATION:

Living and working in Monterey offers a rare opportunity to balance high-stakes aerospace and defense research with an exceptional quality of life along California''''''''s central coast. The region serves as a sophisticated intellectual hub, home to elite military institutions and research centers, all set against a backdrop of world-class scenery and a temperate maritime climate.

PREFACE

This mandate centers on the forensic decomposition and reconstruction of complex RF environments, requiring an elite mastery of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Detection and Estimation Theory. The role demands a candidate with an exceptional academic pedigree—possessing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field—who can apply first-principles mathematical rigor to non-stationary environments and low SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) regimes. To succeed, the researcher must bridge the gap between abstract algorithmic theory and high-performance software implementation, leveraging numerical linear algebra to solve critical national security challenges within the aerospace and defense sectors.

II. THE MISSION

The objective is the architectural design and deployment of advanced signal processing frameworks capable of neutralizing high-interference and adversarial RF conditions. As a Principal Investigator within the StaffRight Associates exclusive search, you will lead the charge in reverse-engineering complex signals and formalizing algorithms that ensure systemic resilience in remote sensing and navigation. This is a high-stakes mission focused on delivering uniquely capable solutions where standard methodologies fail, ensuring the seamless transition of theoretical models into real-time, high-performance production environments.

III. CORE TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES

  • Synthesize sophisticated DSP algorithms to extract intelligence from stressed RF environments characterized by extreme interference and non-stationary noise.

  • Engineer high-fidelity simulations and models for RF signal analysis, utilizing a clean room approach to reverse-engineer complex data structures.

  • Validate system performance through rigorous data analysis, ensuring that theoretical detection and estimation models meet mission-critical reliability standards.

  • Formalize scientific codebases by translating mathematical constructs into optimized C/C++ and Python implementations.

  • Orchestrate the migration of validated algorithms into real-time, Linux-based high-performance computing (HPC) ecosystems.

  • Decouple complex customer objectives into discrete technical requirements, managing the full scientific lifecycle from initial hypothesis to final performance evaluation.

IV. CANDIDATE DNA

  • Architectural Philosophy: A deep-seated commitment to technical synthesis, focusing on how baseband and RF architectures align to support modern communication protocols (LTE, WCDMA, etc.).

  • Algorithmic Mastery: Expert-level command of adaptive antenna array processing, geolocation, and radar signal processing.

  • Software Engineering Rigor: Proficiency in scientific programming within Linux environments, with a focus on Software Defined Radio (SDR) and numerical linear algebra.

  • Communication Precision: The ability to distill forensic technical findings into authoritative briefings for high-level stakeholders and technical partners.

V. ACADEMIC & RESEARCH PEDIGREE

  • Educational Foundation: A Master of Science (M.S.) is the baseline requirement; a Ph.D. is strongly preferred, reflecting a dedication to deep-tier research and mathematical innovation.

  • Professional Tenure: A minimum of 5+ years of post-academic experience in high-stakes STEM environments is desired to demonstrate the required maturity in Goal-Execution-Mapping.

  • Security Clearance: Mandatory U.S. Citizenship with an active, in-scope Top Secret/SSBI, ensuring eligibility for the nation''''''''s most sensitive technical mandates.

VI. PARTNERING WITH STAFFRIGHT ASSOCIATES

At StaffRight Associates, we operate at the intersection of technical synthesis and structural alignment. We don’t just match resumes to keywords; we map your engineering DNA, your architectural philosophy, your approach to system resilience, and your Goal-Execution-Mapping, to the most sophisticated STEM challenges in the industry. When you partner with us, you are engaging with a team that speaks your language and understands the nuances of high-stakes innovation. We are committed to placing elite talent where their technical contributions drive systemic impact.
