Role: Avaya Support Engineer
Location: 100% Onsite – Jackson, MS - 3771 Eastwood Dr – Zip – 39211
Job description:
Common work tasks include:
- Assist with configuration and installation of new Avaya systems
- Check health of Avaya environment including trunking and adjunct systems
- Work trouble and programming tickets
- Acting as tier III support for more complicated troubles
- Work with Telecom providers to address circuit issues
- Deployment of new products and technologies in the Avaya portfolio
Candidates must possess:
Minimum of 15 years of experience with Avaya systems
Experience with the following Avaya products:
➢ Communication Manager 7.1.3
➢ Session Manager 7.1.3
➢ Call Management System R18
➢ System Manager 7.1.3
➢ Work Force Optimization 15.2
Experience with the following equipment:
➢ Avaya G650/450/430s
➢ Spira SBCs
- In depth knowledge and experience with real-time communications, voice, and video protocols including H.323 and SIP
- Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, WAN technologies, and QoS
Candidates should be able to:
- Be able to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional manner
- Create accurate documentation for user consumption on new products and services that are rolled out
- Train junior level staff on Avaya technologies
Preference will be given to candidates that possess the following:
- Broadsoft Hosted VoIP products
- Ability to automate routine tasks via python scripting
