Role Summary

Trilogy NextGen is seeking Contract Robotics Deployment Engineers to support the installation, configuration, and operational support of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) systems across warehouse, logistics, and industrial customer sites.

This role is a hands-on field engineering position focused on deploying robotic automation solutions in real-world operational environments. Contractors will work alongside Trilogy NextGen engineers and customer operations teams to ensure robots are properly installed, connected, and functioning reliably.

The position is ideal for individuals with experience in robotics deployment, industrial automation, or technical field engineering, and who are comfortable working directly in warehouse and operational settings.


Key Responsibilities

AMR Deployment & Installation

  • Assist with the deployment and installation of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) systems at customer sites.

  • Support robot setup including:

    • charging station installation

    • robot onboarding and configuration

    • facility mapping and navigation setup

    • fleet manager configuration.

  • Validate robot operation and assist with system go-live activities.


Field Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and operational support for deployed robots.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to:

    • robot navigation and mapping

    • hardware or sensor issues

    • connectivity and communications

    • task execution and fleet coordination.

  • Work with internal engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.


Connectivity & Systems Integration Support

  • Assist with integrating robots into customer network environments, including Wi-Fi and private LTE (pLTE) networks.

  • Verify reliable robot connectivity and system communication with fleet management software.

  • Support integration with customer operational systems when required.


Testing & Validation

  • Participate in system testing and operational validation prior to production launch.

  • Assist with performance validation including robot routing, task completion, and workflow functionality.

  • Document deployment steps, issues encountered, and resolutions.


Operational Support

  • Provide support during pilot deployments and early production operations.

  • Work directly with warehouse or operations teams to ensure robots integrate smoothly into daily workflows.

  • Assist with basic training for customer operators on robot usage and operational procedures.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in robotics deployment, automation, technical field support, or industrial systems installation.

  • Experience working in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills with electromechanical systems or robotics platforms.

  • Ability to follow technical deployment documentation and procedures.

  • Comfortable working on-site in operational environments.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to deployment sites.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience deploying or supporting Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) or robotics fleets.

  • Familiarity with robotics platforms, fleet managers, or automation systems.

  • Experience with wireless networking in industrial environments (Wi-Fi or private LTE).

  • Basic familiarity with Linux systems, APIs, or robotics software platforms.
