Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to support Early-Stage Solar Engineering & Construction projects for a leading renewable energy organization. This role will work closely with the Solar Regional Lead Project Manager to manage projects through the pre-construction lifecycle, ensuring each project is technically sound, financially viable, and ready for handoff to the construction team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of project management, financial analysis, capital budgeting, and technical coordination skills. This position offers excellent long-term career growth within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned solar projects through the early-stage development process
• Coordinate project activities related to technical, commercial, construction, and financial planning
• Analyze technical and financial project data to identify risks, trends, and performance indicators
• Develop and maintain project capital budgets
• Support permitting, engineering coordination, and development activities
• Work with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve project issues
• Assist in preparing construction plans and project schedules
• Support contract negotiations and commercial execution
• Maintain project documentation and critical data in various software systems
• Provide project updates to regional leadership and executive teams
• Ensure projects remain on track for successful turnover to construction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in project management, financial analysis, or capital budgeting
• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, or Utilities
• Knowledge of capital project budgeting
• Understanding of technical or mechanical project variables
• Strong interest in long-term project management career growth
