Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Managing the company's virtualized infrastructure based upon VMWare virtualization technology. This includes applying updates, reviewing performance, and commissioning or decommissioning severs and performing all necessary and proper maintenance of hosts and operating systems under applicable best practices.
Analyzing the company's existing network, by optimizing existing configurations, making recommendations and otherwise assisting in determining organizational system needs for business operations.
Assisting the IT Director in planning and maintaining the company's system-wide security.
Maintaining the company's patch management program, to include testing, applying, and remediating patch issues for all hardware and software.
Serving at the Senior Specialist on the IT Helpdesk, including troubleshooting level 1, level 2 and level 3 issues as the need arises.
Provisioning new company hardware and software across servers, desktops and laptop devices.
Monitoring the company's network, hardware, and software assets to mitigate issues that may harm productivity or otherwise affect daily operations.
Provide basic troubleshooting capability for the company's VOIP phone system.
Assist users with their IT infrastructure needs by focusing on delivering excellent customer service.
Ensure the company's privacy and confidentiality of the company's computer network and VPN.
Assigning and updating security permissions on the network, including via Windows Active Directory, Relius, and other IT systems and applications.
Provide administration for the company's Microsoft365 implementation and other cloud services such as Azure.
Provide after-hours support as-needed and be part of an on-call rotation.fp
Requirements
Skills include: Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, MS Windows 11, Intune, Azure
Management of MDM solutions (InTune)
5+ years of systems administration experience in Windows environments
Familiarity with on-prem to Azure cloud server migrations
Proven ability to administrate servers day-to-day, including updates, patching, backups/recovery management, virtualization, and PowerShell scripting
