Summary

Job Description:

We are looking for a very senior Oracle DBA with deep expertise in Database Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting to join our client in Philadelphia, PA. This role requires hands-on experience with complex database environments and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization
Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide root cause analysis
Manage and support Oracle databases in high-availability environments
Work extensively with Oracle RAC and Exadata systems
Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation and monitoring
Monitor database health, performance metrics, and system capacity
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for performance improvements

Required Skills:

10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
Strong expertise in Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Exadata
Proficiency in Linux/Unix scripting (Shell, Bash)
Experience with AWR, ASH reports, and execution plan analysis
Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and query optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle high-pressure production environments
