Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with a strong project management mindset to drive a large-scale data migration project. This high-impact role requires a proactive and assertive professional who can take ownership of execution, align stakeholders, and ensure the successful transfer of hundreds of terabytes of data. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leading meetings, managing dependencies, and providing clear, solution-oriented recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central driver of project execution, taking ownership of deliverables and timelines with minimal oversight.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and translation into technical system requirements for a large-scale data migration.
- Conduct investigative work to identify data ownership, application usage, and migration destinations.
- Own and maintain a large, detailed tracking spreadsheet to manage hundreds of data share requests, statuses, and ServiceNow tickets.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT, and vendors, facilitating workshops and meetings to ensure alignment.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and dependencies, particularly those involving third-party data sources.
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams on solution design and validation.
- Ensure all solutions comply with internal policies and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Proven background as a Business Systems Analyst with a demonstrated project management mindset.
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects, including cloud-to-on-premise transfers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, coordinate complex projects, and drive outcomes.
- Experience leading meetings, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving accountability.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in MS Office, with heavy utilization of Excel for tracking and analysis.
- Experience with Confluence for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JIRA.
- Familiarity with data migrations involving NAS, Azure file shares, SQL, and Oracle databases.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $70.00 per hour. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
