Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid. Onsite Monday-Thursdays and can work remotely from home on Fridays)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Designer for a contract position focused on project support. This role involves working within a dynamic team on highly confidential projects, requiring professional maturity and a proactive approach. The position is based on-site with a hybrid schedule and will support the energy technical design team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product development by leveraging an understanding of garment construction.
- Update sketches and document notes during fitting sessions.
- Ensure design intent is accurately translated into technical specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with a direct team of approximately six other technical designers.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 2-4+ years of experience in a similar technical design or product development role is required.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of garment construction and design intent is necessary. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well in fast-paced environments, pivot quickly, and demonstrate initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree is strongly preferred.
- A CLO 3D certification is considered a plus.
- Experience with PCX, CAD, CLO, or Optitex is highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $46.66 per hour. This is a contract role and visa sponsorship is not provided.
