Role Overview
This position will work closely with the Account Executive and Lighting Design Analyst to assist with lighting designs, ensuring all National Electrical Code (NEC) systems meet local code requirements in Alabama. The role involves coordinating, scheduling, tracking, and managing the installation and maintenance of NEC lighting systems. This individual is responsible for quality control, providing performance feedback to contractors, approving invoices, and ensuring projects are completed safely, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to facilitate lighting designs that meet all safety, NEC, and company specifications.
- Conduct pre-construction job site visits to identify site conditions and potential conflicts.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings with company and customer representatives to communicate responsibilities and schedules.
- Coordinate the installation and repair of lighting equipment and distribution facilities with appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all necessary permits and utility locates are in place before and during construction.
- Review and approve contract labor unit sheets and track all labor for each project.
- Manage job schedules to ensure commitment dates are achieved.
- Inspect completed lighting projects to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and specifications.
- Assist internal and external personnel with issues related to the maintenance of lighting facilities.
Required Qualifications
Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in outdoor NEC lighting system design and installation is required. This includes experience with NEC lighting system designs, installations, and repairs, as well as experience managing a contractor workforce. A Master Electrical License is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LAMP, CAMP, and Fulcrum is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Electrical License in the state of Alabama.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $35.87 per hour.
