Description: Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a
Specialty Software Engineering - L1 Support Specialist to provide first-level technical assistance and collaborate on moderately complex engineering initiatives. In this role, you will support users, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the successful delivery of Specialty Software Engineering projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and client partners, applying sound judgment and a strong understanding of engineering processes, policies, and compliance standards.
This is a
contingent resource assignment based in
Charlotte, NC.
ResponsibilitiesOperational Support- Serve as the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance, providing timely and customer-focused support.
- Log, track, and manage support requests received through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, including password resets, software installations, configuration adjustments, and user access issues.
- Utilize available knowledge bases and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Issue Management- Conduct initial review and analysis of moderately complex technical challenges, identifying solutions or determining when escalation is required.
- Escalate unresolved or advanced issues to L2 support according to established processes.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with users to ensure understanding of the support process and resolution steps.
Engineering Collaboration- Participate in and consult on moderately complex engineering initiatives related to Specialty Software Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning activities, supporting the delivery of engineering commitments.
- Collaborate with client teams and internal partners to address engineering needs and align on solutions.
- Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to ensure proper execution of support activities.
Required Skills & ToolsBusiness Intelligence Tool SupportExperience with or exposure to BI tools, including:
- SAS
- Power BI
- Tableau
- MicroStrategy
Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or an equivalent combination of:
- Professional work or consulting experience
- Related training
- Military experience
- Formal education
