Location: Remote (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)
Compensation: $25/hour
Contract: 1-Year (with potential for extension)
Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch
We're seeking a motivated
IT Implementation Engineer to support a large-scale
Network Refresh and Infrastructure Remediation initiative across dozens of locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can manage multiple projects at once, and is ready to hit the ground running.
You'll play a hands-on role coordinating and delivering network and infrastructure upgrades, partnering with internal engineering teams and third-party vendors to ensure projects are executed smoothly from planning through installation and validation.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and deliver network remediation and refresh projects across 50-100 locations simultaneously
- Engineer and implement enterprise technologies including:
- Wireless networks
- Data routing and switching
- Call routing technologies
- Network infrastructure and structured cabling
- Assess site surveys and determine remediation and hardware requirements
- Define hardware needs such as routers, switches, UPS, access points, and MDF/IDF components
- Collaborate with internal network engineers to align designs and standards
- Partner with third-party vendors to:
- Define scope of work and bills of material
- Coordinate installations and timelines
- Ensure work meets enterprise and regulatory standards
- Review and approve vendor quotes, invoices, and purchase requests
- Manage project budgets of up to $1M
- Validate completed work, identify gaps, and drive follow-up through resolution
- Ensure all activities are documented and tracked in enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Project
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
IT & Networking Knowledge- ~2+ years of experience with networking hardware, infrastructure, and buildouts
Project Coordination- 2-3 years of experience coordinating large-scale, multi-site projects
- Proven ability to manage many concurrent workstreams
Organization & Tools- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel required; Power BI a plus)
- Familiarity with automation or workflow tools such as ServiceNow
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within established standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with internal teams, leadership, and third-party contractors
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze issues and adjust work methods
- Experience with:
- CAT-6 and fiber-optic infrastructure
- TIA/EIA, BICSI, and OSHA standards (preferred)
- Interpreting site surveys and technical documentation

Additional Notes
- This role is telecommunications-focused, with an emphasis on voice services. It does not include responsibilities related to wireless or data routing technologies.
- While similar to a project management role, PMP certification is not required.
- You'll be expected to work independently and exercise discretion within established procedures.
