Position: Program Operations Engineer 1

Location: El Segundo, CA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a Program Operations Engineer 1 (Integration Tool Engineer) to join our Tooling Department, supporting multiple programs and managing Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities. In this role, you will collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, program operations, business management, and scheduling teams to gather information for cost control, forecasting, and proposals. You will also manage Earned Value Management (EVM) tools, support program requirements, and oversee tooling projects across in-house and offsite fabrication.

Responsibilities
  • Gain familiarity with engineering and technical aspects of tools used in aircraft component manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with technical leadership and cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and program stakeholders.
  • Define, plan, perform, monitor, and complete multiple project tasks simultaneously.
  • Perform CAM duties including updating EVM tools, producing data products, reviewing monthly EV data, and providing cost account status.
  • Track budget actuals against forecasts and monitor financial performance against the EV baseline.
  • Participate in CAM status calls, weekly status meetings, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Coordinate with scheduling teams to develop and execute Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Manage change requests with business management and scheduling teams.
  • Support logistics, staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts.
  • Facilitate internal meetings to ensure staffing needs align with program baselines.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate cost and scheduling risks.
  • Conduct project monitoring including requirements traceability, SOW analysis, team facilitation, and action item tracking.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage multiple levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) tools and CAM responsibilities.
  • Background in tooling design, fabrication, or aerospace manufacturing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
