Summary

Project Manager IT Managed Services

Mid-sized, established IT Managed Services company seeking a Project Manager with strong IT services or technical experience to lead projects from installation through transition into managed services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, creating processes, and bringing organization to evolving environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage IT projects from deployment through managed services or installation
Create, document, and enforce project processes and procedures
Coordinate engineers, service desk, vendors, and leadership
Serve as the primary client-facing project contact
Ensure consistent documentation, timelines, and communication
Drive accountability and smooth operational transitions

Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from kickoff through delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met
Break complex initiatives into clear tasks, milestones, and deliverables
Facilitate meetings, working sessions, and project check ins with internal teams and external stakeholders
Serve as the primary point of communication, ensuring all parties understand expectations, progress, and next steps
Track project progress, risks, and dependencies; proactively address blockers
Maintain clear, consistent project documentation, plans, and status reports
Ensure smooth handoffs between teams and reinforce accountability across contributors
Adapt project plans as priorities shift while maintaining overall objectives

Required or Demonstrated Through Experience:

Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to lead groups, facilitate discussions, and drive outcomes
Strong documentation and reporting habits
Comfort working with diverse stakeholders and personalities
Experience with projects involving installation, managed services, or other technical launches or deployments
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Comfortable creating structure where processes do not yet exist
