Salesforce Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Solutions Analyst (BSA) – Salesforce Public Sector
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Solutions Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in Salesforce Public Sector implementations to support initiatives for a California State Agency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements gathering, Agile delivery, testing coordination, and stakeholder engagement, along with hands-on experience working in government or public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Salesforce implementations
• Translate stakeholder inputs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Agile environments
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process flows, and system documentation
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture business needs
• Develop and execute test cases, coordinate UAT, and support end-to-end testing
• Manage requirements traceability, defect tracking, and backlog using JIRA
• Document complex business rules and calculations (financial logic, penalties, etc.)
• Create user training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
• Collaborate with technical teams to support Salesforce Public Sector Solutions delivery

Mandatory / Must Have Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3+ years of Business Solutions Analyst (BSA) experience
• Experience working with Federal, State, or Local Government / Public Sector agencies
• Proven experience delivering at least 3 Salesforce implementation projects within the last 5 yearsProjects must include Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
• Strong experience in:

1. Requirements gathering and documentation
2. Converting business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
3. Agile/Scrum delivery methodology

• Hands-on experience with:

1. Test case development, UAT coordination, and end-to-end testing
2. JIRA for requirements traceability, defect tracking, and test management (5+ years)

• Experience documenting:

1. Complex business rules, calculations, and workflows
2. BRDs, process flows, and system diagrams (Visio or similar tools)
3. Experience creating training materials and conducting end-user training sessions
4. Active Salesforce Certified Administrator Certification (Required)

Preferred / Nice to Have:
Experience with case management or regulatory/compliance systems

• Knowledge of adjudication workflows in government or regulatory environments
• Experience with ALM and DevOps tools such as:
  • ALM Octane
  • Azure DevOps
• Other Application Lifecycle Management tools
