Location: Addison, Texas (Hybrid)Employment Type: ContractDuration: 12 monthsRole Overview
This role is a key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams. The position involves working with project teams to ensure standard quality practices and processes are followed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must manage multiple competing priorities and possess good time management skills to drive project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology to ensure business, technical, and functional requirements are met.
- Design and execute manual or automated test scripts based on test strategy and plans to identify defects prior to production.
- Assist with data management and ensure the on-time completion of all required testing deliverables.
- Expose and mitigate operational risk relative to the execution of system test plans.
- Provide verbal and written executive status updates to key stakeholders.
- Ensure risks associated with the test strategy and system test plan are documented and communicated to clients and colleagues.
- Manage all risks associated with testing and take preventative action when necessary.
- Plan, arrange, and facilitate meetings and workgroups with stakeholders during test planning and subsequent activities.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with the Selenium automation tool.
- Experience in functional and manual testing.
- Knowledge of test management principles and the testing process.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced automation skills using tools like Selenium beyond recording features.
- A QA background with analytical skills and the ability to decompose requirements into testable cases.
- Experience testing backend services and integrations with upstream or downstream systems.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment practices using tools like Litmus or Jenkins.
- Basic competency with Git for source control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for test management and reporting.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience testing within an Agile development lifecycle.
- Experience with API testing.
