Supply Chain Technician to support a
Supplier Master Data team within a large, enterprise supply chain organization. This role supports vendor master data transactions at the enterprise level and plays a critical part in maintaining accurate supplier information within enterprise databases and financial systems.
This position operates in a
high-volume, fast-paced, metric-driven, and team-oriented environment focused on accuracy, continuous improvement, and service excellence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working under deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
The Supply Chain Technician will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, supporting enterprise-wide infrastructure and alignment of end-to-end supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to service tickets and requests related to supplier setup and maintenance in enterprise databases
- Add new vendors and update existing vendor records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required documentation and approvals
- Perform required screenings, validations, and compliance checks based on established procedures
- Communicate critical supplier status information to appropriate stakeholders (e.g., vendor holds, bankruptcy notifications, or debarment notices)
- Compile and distribute recurring reports related to vendor activity and data changes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with special projects as assigned
- Follow established written work instructions to complete daily job activities accurately and efficiently
Requirements Required Qualifications- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and shift priorities as needed
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute effectively within a team
- Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy
Preferred Skills- Experience supporting vendor or supplier master data
- Familiarity with enterprise service ticketing systems
- Exposure to continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives
