Snowflake Data Architect - Snowflake, Databricks & Cloud

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with proven expertise in Snowflake, Databricks and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) to define and lead our enterprise data architecture and modernization journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define enterprise data architecture, strategy, roadmap, data modeling and governance framework.
  • Architect and design scalable, secure, high-performance Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions on Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Design cloud-native data platforms on AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform including storage, compute, security and cost optimization.
  • Lead migration from legacy warehouses (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) to Snowflake / Databricks on Cloud.
  • Architect solutions using Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel) and Databricks features (Delta Lake, PySpark, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, MLflow).
  • Provide technical leadership to data engineering teams for ETL/ELT design using ADF, Glue, Airflow, dbt, Informatica.
  • Define best practices for data modeling (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault 2.0), performance tuning and security (RBAC, masking, encryption).
  • Establish data governance, data quality, metadata management and data lineage.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, mentor senior engineers and ensure adherence to standards.

Requirements:

<>Required Skills:
  • 12-15 years of IT experience with minimum 5+ years as Data Architect.
  • Expert hands-on in Snowflake - Architecture, Performance Tuning, Security, Cost Governance.
  • Expert hands-on in Databricks - Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Performance Optimization.
  • Strong experience in at least one cloud - AWS (S3, Redshift, EMR, Lambda), Azure (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory), Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow).
  • Strong in SQL, Python/Scala, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, Kafka, CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Experience with Medallion and Lakehouse Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Security, Governance and Compliance.
<>Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications - SnowPro Advanced Architect, Databricks Architect, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with Real-time Streaming, Data Mesh, AI/ML platforms.
  • Experience in pre-sales and client architecture discussions.

Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent.
