  • Job Description: Apex Systems is seeking a Snowflake Technical Lead to join a small, high-impact Architecture Governance team responsible for setting data, coding, and security standards across the organization. This team ensures consistency and efficiency by developing reusable components, establishing code review processes, and promoting best practices in data warehousing, pipeline orchestration, and semantic modeling.

    The Technical Lead will play a hands-on role, guiding the team in the design, implementation, and governance of Snowflake-based solutions while supporting future initiatives such as Date Warehouse modernization and AI-enabled development frameworks.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the development of data architecture standards, coding guidelines, and security policies for Snowflake and associated data pipelines.
    • Build proof-of-concepts and reusable components to accelerate adoption of best practices.
    • Establish and enforce a code review process that ensures compliance with organizational standards.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote consistency in design, reduce redundant work, and optimize performance across Snowflake projects.
    • Establish strategic cloud and Snowflake architectures that support scalability, performance, and repeatability, including standardized ingestion patterns for multiple payer data sources and acquisitions.
    • Design and implement Snowflake data models optimized for payer analytics, including financial performance, utilization trends, network performance, and member outcomes.
    • Hands-on development and guidance for data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
    • Support the setup and configuration of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
    • Contribute to Snowflake platform foundations, including cost controls, semantic modeling, and CI/CD standards.
    • Support AI-assisted development initiatives, including automated coding, SQL optimization, testing, and documentation.
    • Mentor and guide developers on the team in Snowflake best practices, coding standards, and architecture decisions.
    • Define and evolve metadata-driven, configuration-based pipeline standards that separate platform orchestration logic from developer transformation logic.
    • Act as architectural authority for Snowflake implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and cost governance policies.
