Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior DataStage Developer to design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using IBM DataStage. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data integration, database design, and Agile development practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IBM DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Create and maintain logical and physical database models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Integrate multiple data sources such as relational databases, flat files, and APIs into enterprise data warehouses.
- Optimize ETL jobs and database queries for scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and database schemas.
- Partner with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are met and solutions are tested thoroughly.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in ETL workflows and data pipelines.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 8+ years of experience with IBM DataStage, including parallel and server jobs.
- Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Technical Skills:- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server.
- Proficiency in database design principles including normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting ETL jobs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $68.26 per hour.
