Role OverviewWe are seeking a SAP ABAP Developer for a new project focused on building custom applications and enhancements. This role involves developing solutions to address items from a recent S/4HANA upgrade. The developer will work closely with technical and functional teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions while adhering to established standards and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Work with technical teams for the design and analysis of solutions.
- Collaborate with functional team members to develop solutions as prioritized by the project team.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working across different technical and functional domains.
- Resolve system defects identified during the testing phase.
- Ensure precise and timely communication with the project team.
- Gain and maintain an understanding of the solution's application architecture and database structure.
- Follow the established change management process for application deployment.
Required QualificationsExperience: Experience in commodity and sales and distribution projects is preferred. The role requires the ability to take high-level functional design documents and develop ABAP solutions independently.
Technical Skills:- Programming skills in ABAP.
- Experience working with S/4HANA, OData, and CDS views.
- A solid understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC, and data modeling concepts.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in delivering complex ABAP developments independently.
- Experience extending and integrating new solutions with pre-existing custom solutions.
- Familiarity with the RAP model, Gateway Services, and BOPF.
- Domain knowledge in Oil and Gas.
