Job SummaryBusiness Consultant role supporting public sector organizations by analyzing, designing, and implementing technology-driven solutions. The position focuses on business process analysis, requirements gathering, and ensuring solution adoption for federal, state, and local government agencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Engage stakeholders to document business needs
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and process mapping
- Create:
- BRDs
- FRDs
- User stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions
Solution Design & Implementation Support
- Optimize workflows for government services and citizen engagement
- Collaborate on system integration and cloud platform adoption
- Support automation, reporting, and self-service tools
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test cases and UAT plans
- Facilitate UAT sessions and capture feedback
- Track defects and enhancement requests
Stakeholder Management & Training
- Act as liaison between business, IT, and external partners
- Conduct training sessions and support system adoption
QualificationsTechnical & Functional
- 10+ years of Business Consultant experience
- 3+ years supporting public sector initiatives
- Experience with digital transformation and enterprise systems
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Public Sector & Compliance
- Familiarity with:
- Experience with public sector workflows, compliance models, and citizen engagement
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities
Preferred Certifications - CBAP or PMI-PBA
- CSM or PMP
