Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Manhattan Beach, CA that is seeking a Director of Import Cost Compliance that serves as the internal authority on supplier pricing compliance for global import operations, responsible for validating the accuracy of invoices from international suppliers across all countries and ensuring timely payment. This role is critical to the efficient management of import cost operations, including review and authorization of supplier payments, dispute resolution, and financial reporting. The Director leads the resolution of non-compliance issues or inaccuracies in supplier invoices or payment requests. This position requires a highly experienced professional with strong expertise in import cost compliance, supply chain operations, and Oracle Cloud Financials, along with strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction to the import cost compliance team, promoting continuous improvement and development
* Oversee processing of shipments, payments, letters of credit, and related financial transactions across global operations
* Act as the internal authority on supplier pricing compliance, partnering with Finance, Costing, AP, IT, and global teams
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to improve compliance and operational efficiency
* Lead resolution of supplier invoice discrepancies and non-compliance issues
* Drive data-informed decision-making by identifying financial analysis opportunities
* Manage monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting, including general ledger close support
* Communicate import documentation and payment requirements to vendors and subsidiaries
* Oversee special transactions such as returns, transfers, and chargebacks
* Support internal and external audit requests
* Maintain vendor and factory records within financial systems

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* 10+ years of experience in supplier costing, payment compliance, inventory operations, or supply chain, including 5+ years in a leadership role
* Proven ability to lead and develop teams with 10+ direct and indirect reports
* Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Financials, particularly supplier cost and inventory modules
* Ability to work onsite in Manhattan Beach
* Proficiency with standard business applications and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional and global teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
