IT Business Analyst to support initiatives across the PMO team. This role is
contract with intent to convert to full-time and will partner closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, support UAT, and document end-to-end processes in a healthcare environment.
While this is a remote role,
local Birmingham, AL candidates are preferred. Local candidates would still work remotely but may collaborate virtually with onsite teams as needed. Annual travel to Birmingham is required.

- Requirements gathering and breaking down requirements
- Facilitating UAT
- Seeking a technical Business Analyst
- Must be comfortable with process mapping and documentation
- Healthcare experience is required
- Local preferred, but open to remote candidates
Position Details- Title: IT Business Analyst
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm CST
- Location: Remote (Preference: Birmingham, AL)
- Reports To: Director, IT
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Break down complex requirements into clear, actionable artifacts
- Partner with stakeholders across IT and the business to ensure alignment
- Create and maintain:
- Business requirements documentation
- Functional requirements
- Process flows and mappings
- Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Develop test scripts and test plans
- Coordinate with business users and technical teams
- Serve as a liaison between business partners, PMO, and technical teams
- Support operational handoff and ensure solution readiness
Required Experience & Qualifications- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business requirements experience
- Proven experience creating:
- Business requirements
- Test scripts and/or test plans
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Proficiency with:
- MS Office
- Outlook
- Visio
- Word
- Healthcare industry experience is required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Experience- Prior experience supporting:
- HR / Talent Acquisition systems
- Revenue Cycle functions
- Exposure to PMO environments
- Experience operating as both:
- Business Analyst
- Technical Analyst
