Controls Engineer | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled Controls Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test control systems for manufacturing processes.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and other industrial control devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and control system issues.
  • Implement and optimize automation solutions to improve production efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment installations and upgrades.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in HMI/SCADA system design and implementation.
  • Proven experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system issues.
  • Experience with robotics and motion control systems is a plus.
