SAP Business 1 (SAP B1)

Description

We are looking for an SAP Business One consultant to support a short-term Contract engagement in Davenport, Iowa. This role will focus on completing remaining data validation and migration activities, comparing results between legacy Access databases and SAP Business One, and helping the business reach a stable operational state. The consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders and external support resources to resolve issues, confirm data integrity, and ensure core inventory and order processes perform as expected.

Responsibilities:
Complete the remaining migration work for open orders, future orders, and inventory-related records from Access databases into SAP Business One.
Review transferred data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and correct issues that affect day-to-day operations within the new environment.
Execute side-by-side testing between the legacy system and SAP Business One by processing quotes and purchase orders and analyzing any output differences.
Confirm that source spreadsheets and database structures align with SAP Business One import templates and required field mappings.
Revalidate inventory information already loaded into SAP Business One and coordinate reload activities when inconsistencies are found.
Inspect application screens and transaction results in SAP Business One to verify that records display correctly and behave as intended.
Partner with internal team members and external support contacts to troubleshoot complex migration and testing issues while managing support usage efficiently.
Provide stabilization support after migration and testing are completed to help ensure a smooth transition into regular business use.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with SAP Business One, including data migration, validation, and system testing.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access databases and related data structures.
Proven ability to reconcile data between legacy systems and ERP platforms with a high level of accuracy.
Experience testing business transactions such as quotes, purchase orders, and order records across multiple systems.
Ability to identify root causes of data or process issues and implement practical fixes in a Contract consulting environment.
Comfortable collaborating with internal users, technical support partners, and business stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through during time-sensitive project work.
