Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Director to lead the technology function at a growing company. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the organization's IT strategy, manage vendor relationships, and provide hands-on technical leadership. The role is ideal for a versatile individual who thrives in a small-company environment and enjoys balancing strategic planning with tactical execution.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals and growth strategies.
Oversee relationships with managed service providers and external technology vendors to ensure optimal support and value.
Provide hands-on technical leadership, addressing escalated issues across infrastructure, systems, and networking.
Manage and optimize the company's applications, including troubleshooting and implementing enhancements as needed.
Drive Power BI analytics initiatives, delivering actionable insights and ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Lead technology projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective execution.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor partnerships to support organizational needs.
Support and advance AI strategy initiatives, integrating innovative solutions into company operations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Ensure secure handling of data and maintain system reliability across hardware, software, and cloud environments.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in small-company settings.
Proven ability to independently manage an entire IT function, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Proficiency in project management principles and practices to drive successful outcomes.
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and SDLC processes for application support and development.
Experience with Power BI and data analytics to deliver insights and reporting solutions.
Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation to optimize external partnerships.
Solid understanding of AI strategies and their application within business processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
