Systems & Network Administrator

Description

We are looking for a skilled Systems & Network Administrator in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract position, you will play a critical role in managing network operations, providing end-user support, and ensuring the seamless functioning of IT systems across a large campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with a collaborative mindset and strong technical expertise. Our client is specifically looking for someone with M365 Admin Portal & Azure experience handling network connectivity, user set up, password re-set, access, licenses, distro lists, etc.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain network connections, ensuring secure and efficient operations.

Provide comprehensive help desk support, resolving tickets related to new user setups, remote access, and connectivity challenges.

Collaborate with IT staff and third-party vendors to optimize network performance and address technical issues.

Conduct network topology reviews and ensure all hardware is functioning properly within closets and other locations.

Assist with IT resource allocation for a large campus, including equipment upgrades and replacements.

Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain a straightforward, reliable network infrastructure.

Requirements

Proven experience in 365 Admin Portal & Azure

Strong understanding of network topology and the ability to interpret and navigate physical and digital systems.

Ability to provide excellent customer service and collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.

Physical capability to handle active tasks, including walking across a large campus and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Knowledge of Active Directory, backup technologies, and configuration management.

Experience with software evaluation, including assessing capabilities, risks, and costs.

Flexibility to work after hours or on weekends to address urgent maintenance or system needs.
