PHP Developer

Description

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves maintaining and enhancing legacy applications while utilizing your expertise in PHP, jQuery, and MySQL. You will play a key role in modernizing outdated systems and ensuring optimal performance in a Linux-based environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update legacy PHP applications to ensure functionality and performance.

Utilize PHP 7.4.33, jQuery, and MySQL to troubleshoot and enhance applications.

Analyze outdated libraries and recommend effective upgrade paths.

Debug applications locally by downloading and running code to identify issues.

Migrate applications between servers while ensuring minimal downtime.

Work within Linux-based server environments to optimize system operations.

Collaborate on applications hosted in WordPress environments.

Provide clear technical recommendations and solutions to improve system efficiency.

Communicate findings and next steps effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven experience in maintaining and modernizing legacy PHP applications.
Proficiency in PHP 7.4.33, jQuery, and MySQL.
Familiarity with Linux-based server environments.
Ability to analyze and update outdated libraries.
Experience debugging code locally and resolving technical issues.
Knowledge of migrating applications between servers.
Understanding of WordPress-hosted applications.
Strong communication skills to present technical insights and recommendations.
