Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 / annually (DOE)

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our client’s enterprise data ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will define the blueprints for scalable data lakehouses, integration frameworks, and governance standards. You will bridge the gap between complex business strategy and high-performance technical execution. 


Core Responsibilities

  • Architectural Strategy: Design and maintain the enterprise data architecture, ensuring it aligns with long-term IT goals and federal security requirements.

  • Multi-Layer Modeling: Develop comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support everything from transactional apps to advanced AI/ML platforms.

  • Modern Data Stack Leadership: Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies, focusing on Lakehouse patterns, cloud data warehouses, and real-time streaming.

  • Governance & Quality: Establish rigorous standards for Metadata Management, Lineage Tracking, and Master Data Management (MDM) to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure a unified system design across the entire organization.

  • Performance Optimization: Audit and refactor existing data assets to improve scalability, cost-efficiency, and processing speed across on-prem and cloud environments.

  • AI/ML Enablement: Architect data pipelines and feature stores specifically designed to fuel machine learning workloads and advanced analytics.


Candidate Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 7+ years of senior-level experience in data architecture or enterprise database design.

  • Cloud Proficiency: Deep hands-on expertise with Azure (preferred), including Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.

  • Modeling Mastery: Expert knowledge of data modeling methodologies and industry-standard diagramming tools.

  • Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in SQL & NoSQL, ETL/ELT integration frameworks, and real-time technologies like Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.

  • Governance Expertise: Solid understanding of data quality frameworks, lineage tracking, and federal compliance standards.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate "technical debt" and "architectural vision" into clear business value for executive stakeholders.
