CenterPoint Energy is seeking an experienced Finance Business/Portfolio Analyst to support enterprise portfolio financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and investment governance initiatives.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong Corporate Finance experience, SAP Finance knowledge, and expertise in portfolio financial analysis. This is NOT a Project Manager role.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Finance Business Analysis / Portfolio Financial Analysis experience
• Strong Corporate Finance background (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (Required)
• Strong SAP Finance experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ROI tracking
• Power BI reporting/dashboard experience
• SQL query experience
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Must be eligible for contract-to-hire conversion

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolio financial performance including budgets, forecasts, and ROI
• Track O&M and Capital spend against approved budgets
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial recommendations
• Support capital allocation and investment prioritization
• Build executive dashboards and portfolio reporting
• Analyze financial trends and future projections
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning
• Ensure governance, compliance, and reporting accuracy
• Develop portfolio roadmaps and investment plans

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ADO or portfolio management tools
• Certifications related to reporting, SQL, or portfolio management
• Utility/Energy industry experience is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Strong ownership and accountability
• Ability to manage work independently
• Excellent collaboration across business and leadership teams
