Role : AWS Solution Architect

Role Overview:
This position is for a senior hands-on architecture consultant to support a large strategic initiative within the insurance domain. The role requires a strong AWS architect with proven experience designing enterprise-scale solutions, leading architecture across complex work streams, and partnering closely with engineering and business teams to move from concept through delivery.
Delivers Solution Architecture:
Assesses the current solution architecture landscape including existing platforms, detailed designs, integrations, and technical decisions.
Identifies architectural gaps, risks, technical debt and areas of concern.
Creates conceptual, logical, and high-level architecture.
Aligns solutions with HSB and Munich Re standards.
Provides AWS and multi-cloud architecture support.
Supports modernization initiatives and engineering teams.
Ensures scalability, resiliency, security, and integration needs.
Supports SAS and SDF processes. **

Required working experience & education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
10+ years in solution or application architecture.
Strong AWS architecture experience.
Insurance industry experience required.
P&C, specialty, or cyber insurance experience preferred.**
IT Resource Request Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Must Have:
AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
Experience creating architecture artifacts.
Distributed systems and microservices experience.
Strong understanding of security, scalability, and resiliency.
Technical Nice to Have:
Cloud transformation and modernization experience.
Enterprise integration and data architecture familiarity.
Personal Must Have:

Additional Information:
Preference for California or similar U.S. time zone.
