Role: Sr. / Lead Fullstack Node.JS Developer Location: Boston MA (Onsite) Duration: Long Term
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior / Lead Full Stack Engineer to deliver enterprise grade, cloud native applications in a regulated environment. This is a hands on senior technical engineer role with responsibility across front end, backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, data platforms, and security by design.
The ideal candidate can operate independently, own solutions end to end, and contribute immediately in complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build full stack solutions across UI, backend services, APIs, and data layers.
Lead technical design and solution architecture, translating business requirements into scalable systems.
Develop modern, component based front end applications with strong focus on performance, usability, and accessibility.
Build secure, resilient backend services and REST APIs supporting enterprise workflows and AI enabled features.
Design and operate cloud native architectures, including containers, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
Own production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational improvements.
Integrate AI/ML capabilities via APIs with appropriate controls, monitoring, and evaluation gating.
Embed security, compliance, and audit requirements into application design and implementation.
Collaborate with product, data, AI, platform, and risk teams to deliver production ready solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience delivering enterprise full stack applications with production ownership.
Strong hands on expertise in:
o Front end: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
o Backend: Node.js; exposure to Python and/or Java
o APIs: RESTful service design and integration
Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure, including compute, storage, messaging, and observability.
Hands on experience with containers (Kubernetes or managed container services).
Solid DevOps skills: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, release management.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and efficient access patterns.
Experience integrating AI/ML services into applications via APIs and orchestration layers.
Strong understanding of secure coding, IAM, audit logging, and data protection in regulated environments.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices (code reviews, design reviews).
Nice to Have
Experience with Databricks or lakehouse platforms.
Background supporting Audit, Risk, Finance, or Regulatory functions.
Experience with distributed systems, performance tuning, and high availability production systems.
Familiarity with enterprise identity platforms, zero trust architectures.
Cloud or security certifications (AWS / Azure).
