Reliability Engineer | Hart, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hart seeking Reliability Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for recurring issues.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules.
  • Identify and implement reliability improvement projects.
  • Conduct criticality assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment installations and design for reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of reliability tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, RCA, RCM, Weibull analysis).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software for reliability modeling and prediction.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and their application in maintenance and asset management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement reliability improvement projects.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python) for reliability data.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
