Reliability Engineer | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Analyze equipment failures and develop root cause analysis (RCA) solutions.
• Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules to improve asset uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reliability principles into new designs and existing processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
• Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance technicians on reliability best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of reliability methodologies and tools (e.g., RCM, FMEA, RCA, Weibull analysis).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software for reliability modeling and prediction.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and condition monitoring technologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor EAM.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) software or tools (e.g., Apollo RCA, TapRooT).
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, thermography, or ultrasonic testing.
