Reliability Engineer | Norton Shores, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Norton Shores region seeking Reliability Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and provide root cause analysis.
  • Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules to improve asset uptime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on design for reliability.
  • Track and report on key reliability metrics and performance indicators.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability.
  • Conduct criticality assessments for manufacturing assets.
  • Support the development of asset management strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focusing on reliability, maintenance, or process improvement.
  • Proven expertise in applying reliability methodologies (e.g., RCM, FMEA, RCA, Weibull analysis).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software or data analysis tools for interpreting equipment performance and failure data.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems and their role in managing maintenance activities and asset health.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers or technicians.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in predictive maintenance.
