Reliability Engineer | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Spring Lake region seeking Reliability Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment failures and develop root cause analysis (RCA) solutions.
  • Optimize maintenance procedures and schedules to improve asset uptime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to integrate reliability into new designs.
  • Track and report on key reliability metrics, such as MTBF and OEE.
  • Implement and manage computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) data.
  • Provide technical expertise and training on reliability best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of reliability principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., RCM, FMEA, RCA, Weibull analysis).
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and data analysis software.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of Condition-Based Monitoring (CbM) technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation.
